The radiation is administered in therapeutic doses and can send certain localized forms of cancer into remission. • Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists. -
  • Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions. -
    • Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols. -
      • Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately. -
        • Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator. - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
          • Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible -
            • Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing
              • Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist - -
                • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) -
                  • Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical records as well as record and verify -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -

                      • Requires ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping, reaching and lifting.
                      • Requires ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
                      • Requires ability to push/pull over 100 lbs.
                      • Requires dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions.
                      • Requires Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment.
                      • Requires ability to work the hours of operation - flexible.
                      • Requires ability to take "call" on weekdays and weekends based on a rotational schedule.
                      • Requires ability to float to other CCHS facilities when needed.Personal Protective Equipment:
