Company Overview:

Our meter rod manufacturing client located on the East Side of Cleveland is in need of Machine Operators. We have been in business for over 40 years and specialize in manufacturing threaded steel meter rods used in the paper industry.

Position Overview:

Machine Operators will be responsible for a variety of tasks including inspecting, polishing and packaging rods. Person will also be operating a rod straightening machine, operating cut to length machines and operating a role machine.

All rods are custom designed to each customers specifications. This position is a jack of all trades type of position. The machine operator must be open to learning all aspects of the job. Excellent math skills is imperative! There are 2 openings. 1 on 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm. 1 on 2nd shift 2pm to 10:30pm (must train on 1st shift).

Key Responsibilities:

• Grinding and Polishing
• Perform inspections
• Packaging custom rods
• Operating machinery- straightening machine, role machine and cut to length machines.
• Replenish raw materials as needed
• Keep your work area clean
  Requirements:
  
  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8 hours
  • Read and write English
  • Lifting 20 lbs consistently
  • Excellent Math Skills- test performed
